I think we should be bringing in some young kids(16-20)into the team next season if there are so many people leaving in the summer. They would also play for less so it would also save money, but it would also give them loads of experience for the future.Players like Alan Shearer,Stuart Allan,Brian Higgins,Rob English,Fraser Newlands,Paul Alexander.

Sorry i didnt know they were all tied up with HFL clubs but they might want to join Huntly if you ask them because they would show more passion and determination.

Alan Shearer and Stuart Allan have both been in the youth team this season and Alan was on the bench on Saturday after Marco De Barros' "call off".
Higgins/English are on Y Forms at Locos while I did recommend Fraser Newlands to out youth coach earlier in the season. Fraser was due a try-out but the coach went on holiday and another keeper was found at around the same time.
Look for Lee McGregor to be the next local loon to make an impact over the close season.

I hope Fraser has got better than the last time i seen him play if you have reccomended him to the youth team coach and what about Paul cause i have seen him with Huntly Amatuers surely he must be quite good if James Penny wants him.

it's not nice to slag off one of your current team-mates as I've heard he's saved your Donside team on many an occasion this season.

Keeper

May 26 2003, 2:38 PM

Whats all the talk of the keeper, the young lad that played the second half of the season was more than compident and put up several top class performances as the press reports have stated. He has already played with a Scottish Cup winning team at Hampden and is a member of the Albion team that won the 16's Juvenile League. Has still two seasons at this age group.

i agree with you there lincoln. he was a good keeper and did win the league for his age group. so we should get him back it wont do any harm to have one person from aberdeen considerin all the other teams are basically abredeen loons

Re-Keeper

May 27 2003, 6:48 PM

He has Huntly family connections and I think I heard his dad say that his grand father played for Huntly in the 50's.
