I'd like to give a wee mention to Fraser Newlands and the other local loons who debuted for the youth team on Sunday.
Heard the result wasn't too great and some slack defending did cost a few goals, but hopefully Brian can do a good job of bringing one or two more prospects through the ranks.
it wasnt the defenders fault the they scored 5 goals it was the two centre midfielders because it was there men that was coming through and creating chances. the keeper played ok. the young 14 year old the came on did better than the other two centre midfielders.
the young lad you mentioned is Stuart Muir. I think he may be 15.
Fraser Newlands said to me he was impressed with the youngster's performance when he came on as sub
how did fraser know he had a good game wen u shouldve been watching the ball. when stuart came on fraser must av let in about 3. so u was watchin stuart wen u shoudlve been watchin the ball
Think you're being a bit hard on Fraser.
spoke to Brian Thomson a couple of days after the game and he was happy with ALL the lads who played in the game at Keith.
Certainly good to see so many local youngsters getting a chance at youth level, so here's hoping some of this team are able to make the step-up over the next couple of years.
Clutching at straws and blaming anybody but yourselves. Have they received any coaching yet, was the formation one they were used to??? Why blame centre midfield and praise the keeper. Anonymous is not so.
I think Stuart Muir had a good game for a 15 year old, but nobody has mentioned LEFT Winger Brian Higgins who work his heart out chasing the opposition putting in the tackles that allways won the ball, i would say he will be Highland League class in the future. I thought if Alan Shearer had scored the penalty they would of got more confidence and maybe went on to win but the keeper made a good save and from the rebound from Stuart Allan. I think the two players from Keith was quite good but Lamb or whoever passed there might of been a few more chances but never mind i would hope that Thommo will sort that out in pre-season. Good luck for the team in the up coming season.
