GOALS
Huntly:
a well taken hat-trick from Guildy.
Jerry O'Driscoll is looking like one of the best strikers in the league after that showing - great finish for the 3rd goal and two great headers for the last two.

Golspie: nothing much Barry Thompson could've done as it was a great strike from Stevie Murray - who seems to have a habit of scoring v Huntly.

OPPOSITION: Ian Young had some good saves against Guildy (who could've had a barrowload) and former Clach man Gavin Nicolson looked dangerous down the right.
Stevie Murray has always been a danger against Huntly in the past and threatened several times today alongside ex-Brora man Jamie Morrison.

OFFICIALS: nae complaints!

TEAM ANALYSIS
Keeper: not at fault at the goal and kept Golspie out at every attack. fantastic save vs Ian Innes late on.
Back Four: "Reggie" Craig was impressive coming forward from right back and the central defenders are still looking tough to beat.
Midfield: Farmer - brilliant as he provided four of the seven goals.
Guildy was on form and could've had a LOT more than three goals.
Matty looked good out wide yet again with a couple of assists.
Attack: Jerry O'Driscoll was outstanding again and took his goals well. over the past few games he's been a great influence on the team. Stainer looked sharp while he was on and had a couple of decents chances

Golspie Game

August 31 2003, 4:46 PM

Spot on match report once more, Grant. At 4-1 with over half an hour to go, I was concerned that if they'd made it 4-2 we might've had a fight on our hands, but once we got the fifth it was all over. All credit to Huntly for keeping going forward in search of more goals. I don't want to keep refering to past glories, but during our 5 in a row era we did just that, banging in the goals & finishing off teams by the back of half-time. There's heaps of goals from all areas of the team & if we can keep banging them away, with the defence as good as it is, then we're going to be a team to be feared again. Full marks to our goalie who, with not a lot to do during the match, pulled out a top drawer save near the end.
Suggestion : How about someone announcing the goal scorer / substitutions over the tannoy system. Maybe one of the local loons could do it via a competition or something ? It would give the crowd another reason to cheer & would uplift the team even more. With this new team of ours, I for one am struggling to keep up with all the new faces !
Come on Huntly !

I was told a few weeks back that the club are trying to repair the outside mic socket in order any subs/goals.
It would be great if we can get it done as it look professional.
here's to a good draw tomorrow.
