GOALS 1) Well-delivered corner by McGowan and a great header from O'Driscoll
OPPOSITION: Not that much attempts on goal and didn't trouble too much on the attack. Felt the verbal abuse by Holmes and Seaton towards the standside linesman shouldn't have gone unpunished. More so Seaton.
Could've been more goal against if it hadn't been for Michael Rae
OFFICIALS: Good game for Mr Cheyne. best I've seen from him in a while. spot-on with all bookings. Standside assistant did have some bad calls during early second half.
TEAM ANALYSIS
Keeper: Not that many attempts by Nairn, but Barry has recorded his fourth shut-out of the season.
Back Four: Solid again, Alan Stephen had yet another great performance.
Midfield: Mark Gray put in a good shift once again. Quiter game from Guildy but he still makes a difference in the middle of the park.
Attack: Good header for Jerry's goal and Reg gave the Nairn defence some problems.
Man of the match: Mark Gray - got stuck in and was not scared to commit himself in a challenge
Save of the match: Michael Rae's v Derek Craigie in the last minute
Thanks for the compliments Bankie Jimbo and Mr Parker.

Anyway, back to Saturday's game. Great result and it put us back at the top of the league.
it's early days yet, so hopefully the team can keep up that sort of form and make some clubs take notice of Huntly FC once again.
Bankie Jimbo: the offsides decisions. seemed to me that the ball was moved a good 5 yards or more by the Nairn defenders.
Saw one of the assistant referees having a sleep prior to the game - if it was the one at the stand-side I he never woke up!
Another spot on mach report Grant, you're getting good at this !
Well done to the whole team for an excellent result against one of our bogey teams away from home. Derek Craigie’s superb effort at the death deserved a goal. If it had gone in, it would’ve been a much fairer reflection on the game. It’s hard to give any form of criticism at the moment to this team, albeit even constructive, but I feel that we’ve got to score goals at a higher ratio. 14 chances against Nairn & we only converted one. It’s not for me to tell the manager his tactics, but is there any mileage in using Derek Craigie as target man as opposed to Gerry ? He’s bound to win more balls in the air & it could give the team a different attacking dimension. The score at the Broch v Clach in the Cup has got me thinking that we might get a reality check next Saturday. I sincerely hope that I’m wrong, but we so nearly got one at home against the Locos a few weeks ago.
Let’s hope the ratio of goals to chances created improves against Clach. Also, (is it just me who sees this ?) but against Nairn, & not for the first time this season, the match just seemed to pass by Russell Guild. He just didn't seem to be in it at all. Still, if he continues to score the goals as regular as he's been doing, I won't mind !
As far as the search for a Huntly song goes, with the present dismal crowds we’re attracting, it’s got to be a duet hasn’t it ?!!……
Come on Huntly !
