| Good to see the locos get their hands on some silverware last night, especially since there are some Huntly legends who are involved in their current set up.Namely Eddie coppland,John gardiner, and not forgetting Tommy wilson who was a great player whilst at Huntly. It seems to me that these lads are doing a great job at the locos and their experiance will benefit all the younger lads in the squad. What happened to the vale bandwagon last night? oh i forgot Ian murray wisna playing, has their cookie crumbled? you lot decide. It jist gos to show that these gadgees can be beaten and as the locos showed shear guts and determination still plays a big part in any game,so other teams take note and get stuck into the codheeds.
WELL DONE LADS. SCOTTISH CUP HERE WE COME. |

Yes congratulations to them, especially as it was on their opponents ground. However, I must take issue with one statement from Vincent Mole. It seems that he suffers from selective memory disorder when he states that Tommy Wilson was a great player for Huntly. Edie Copeland yes, but Tommy Wilson never lived up to the tag that he came with. More often than not, he was either injured or suspended because he couldn't keep his mouth shut. On his day, admittedly, he was good, but these were very rare occations. When I've seen him play since he joined the Locos he seems a different player, for the better I might add. I put this down to either his maturity and or, John Gardiners management approach. Though his transfer fee, which is part reason for the clubs financial state (correct me if I'm wrong) wasn't his fault, considering these circumstances, I think his attitude & commitment could've been better. If so, who knows he might still be here, as now, he would be an asset to any team in the Highland League. | |
