Clach Game

April 13 2004, 1:06 AM

Bankie Jimbo: As yet I haven't had any official confirmation from the club in regards to a date for the Clach game.

I too saw the Bruce McCraw interview on teletext earlier when he stated that Clach are to travel to Huntly Wednesday week (21st).

I've also checked up on the Highland League website as well as the fixture list on highlandleague.net and there have been no further fixtures added (fixtures listed up to and including Sat 17th).

Talking to highlandleague.net last week I was informed that a new batch of remaining fixtures will be issued following this weekend's League Cup Semi-Final and HL fixtures.

It is possible the Clach tie could land up being midweek which is a bit of a blow if you look at expected crowd figures and sponsorship. We had 350 approx the last time Clach visited Christie Park back in October.

More on teletext.

May 4 2004, 10:18 PM

Teletext reported yesterday that we've signed Booth & McGregor for the first team, and today it stated that Anthony Henry quit the club and we are also chasing Bowman who played superbly for us earlier this season.

BUT, yet again Im reading all this (supposedly true) information on TELETEXT and not ONE HERE, which is supposed to be AN OFFICIAL CLUB WEBSITE (?).

Just wondered what the club's take on these teletext "exclusives" is, and whether they are true, and whether or not were ever going to get information "first" exclusively on here?
To be honest, myself and the other users on here have always classed this site as our "first point of call" for club information and Im beginning to wonder if Teletext is the clubs favourite means of marketing stories after the Farmer "exclusive" a few months back??

I would appreciate some feedback on these points!

I think the point being made is that we would love to see these stories on the website FIRST.After you read teletext you hear nothing, the pr at the club could be a lot better.

Lee McGregor is a great player, if he signs for Huntly i hope they will still allow him to play for East End Villa, who he played for last Season.

Russell Guild is a Huntly Fottball Club Player and he will be remaining that for next season. He has another season left of his contract and im sure he will be signing again.

If your that sure andy, then we should be talking to him now and getting the matter out of the way, unless we want to see him move to another hl club or losing him for nothing.
