A fantastic game of football on Saturday. It is such a shame we didn’t win it at the death.
To all the other Stainer fans out there :
Does anyone know why Richie Stainer wasn’t on the substitutes bench ?
Does anyone think he would have made a difference to the result if he had been & subsequently brought on in the second half ? (a hypothetical question I know)
Here’s hoping for a good travelling support next Saturday to finish the job, which will set us up with a mouth watering game against the Pars.

Heard he was ill but saw him at game

So has everyone got their maps out to find their way to New Bayview then? - no doubt ah will give us chapter and verse - its ok we can look it up ourselves !
Thought it was a good game which we should have won with the chances we had, also good to see a big vocal crowd once more at Christie Park.

Spoke to Stainer in the social club before the game on Sat, he had the flu during the week and still wasn't quite back to his usual self. It has to be said he didn't look too great. If it was the same flu i had the other week i can understand why he didn't play. I honestly think that his pace against that defence might have done the trick. Heres hoping that it happens this weekend.

Unfortuantely the result on Sat was the outcome i did not want, i already have to be in Edinburgh on Sat at something i cannot get out of. An absolute nightmare that i have to miss the replay. If only Neil Reid's effort had been an inch lower...

I wish the team all the best for the replay, perhaps A.H can cheer you on twice as well in my absence (is that possible!!!?).

Bhoy Wonder

HFC won't get a better chance again to progress to the third round, as East Fife are a very poor outfit.

Yeah, as Bhoy WOnder says he was ill all week, and didnae look happy to be mising the game afore it!!

Methil's quite easy to find actually. Try the AA routes service, its about the same distance away as Dingwall fae my hoose.

As for the crowd, well I think we're capable of matching East Fife's 200. Apparently Elgin fans are coming to support us too which can only be a good thing.
