Supporters Player of the Year

As its now made its way via Locos supporters onto Highland League.net, I might as well mention on here that myself and a few other would like to resurrect the Supporters Player of the Year next month.
I have been touting this quietly for a few weeks now, and was made aware that there was a trophy back in the days when I was still in nappies - but currently nobosy asked knows where it is now (presumably a player has it - Morland/Murphy/Stef Gray the likelies).

If anyone knows it's whearabouts please post on here!!

It seems unlikely in anycase that the trophy is going to show up.
I have no worries about starting this up again & will conduct the vote at games in the near future (subject to permission!). The likely situation is that we will need to have a kitty going at the same time to fund a new trophy, which I'll keep while collating votes (50p/£1 per vote!?) in this initial year.

I think it's a great idea, and would mean a lot to the players. Most other clubs have one and I dont see why we're the odd ones out.

If anyone has further ideas on this/ a better suggestion, or most importantly if you know where the original cup is(!) please post it on here or come and see me at a forthcoming match.

Well a.h for starters, I do believe that is a very good idea, but you WOULD need to get ALL the supporters whom attend games to vote, you would also have to accept the decision of the fans of it disagrees with your choice. As we all know it is likely the rest of the fans would disagree with you as most do on a Saturday.

The worrying thing about this post is the fact the some older than me says the trophy must have been last around when he was in nappies, and thinks that someone like Morland, Murphy, Steven Gray has the trophy, does this tell us one of two things either it shows that a.h hasn’t been coming to games that long, or that he was still in nappies as a teenager!!!!!!!!!

Fraser - this would be a fair poll, and yes you are right my choice may not win.
Everything would be done by the book - like the "Rumourking" poll I run annually on hl.net.

Aye Fraser, He behaves during a game like a hyperactive bairn just so it is very easy to confuse a 24 year old Andrew Hassan with a infant school pupil!

I see we are not at home, but away to Forres next saturday. If you want to vote there, please come and see me. Likewise at the Nairn game, Im really not that hard to find.

Will be interesting to see if the "Mosset Massive" decide to turn on Alan Gordon & Stevie Murray again.

Change of Plan

April 13 2005, 11:16 PM

Apologies to those who wanted to vote tonight.
Spoke to someone with a brain better than mine, that informed me of how it was done X number of years ago, and now the poll will take place
AT THE LOSSIEMOUTH GAME

There will be forms and a posting box, and tin for donations towards buying a trophy at the programme/50-50 ticket table.

RE: Vote

Thanks to everyone that voted today, and also gave a contribution in the donations box.
70 votes have been cast, and over £40 was donated towards the new trophy/club funds.
A few seemed a little upset that they didnt get to vote despite walking past the "polling station" - but it is hoped we can possibly have the ballot box out again at before the broch kick-off next weekend. Watch this space.
