The draw for the Aberdeenshire Shield will take place this Thursday afternoon at midday with Morrison Motors Turriff, the new sponsors of the tournament, hosting the draw.

It a clever piece of marketing the Aberdeenshire and District Football Association have invited Highland League reporters Dave Edwards and Steven Rattray to make the draw with Edwards drawing out the home teams and Rattray the away.

With Banks O'Dee going into the hat for the first time there is sure to be added interest in the draw for the warmly appreciated midweek tournament where all matches are played to a finish on the night.

The Quarter Finals will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday the 5th of October with the semi finals a fortnight later. The Final will follow on either Tuesday the 25th or Wednesday the 26th of October.

We've (if we get that far) been drawn as the "home side" in the final. That means (history speaking) we've lost already.

Got a message left earlier tonight saying that the game has been brought forward 24 hours and will now be played on Tuesday 4th.
