PUB TEAMS & TITLES

With reference to Huntly playing some ‘pub’ team in order to get some of our players fit : Did the game have the desired affect ? Did we beat the Locos this time ? (A JOKE, Locos fans) More information would be well received ! Huntly fans will appreciate knowing about ANY games involving the club, in order to see for themselves how the team / individual players are progressing. That is what fans do; take an avid interest in all things pertaining to the club !
The club is going down the wrong road if they are dismissing us fans. Especially at this time of the year, when it is all too easy to stay inside & persue alternative pursuits. Standing outside, often without shelter in sub-zero temperatures & arctic winds Saturday / midweek for weeks on end will test the most ardent of supporters.
Ally Reid’s imminent departure saddens me, as I am in total agreement with a.h. on this one (that saddens me also) JOKE ! Because, along with Ally’s brother Neil, he has been one of our better signings & dependable performers in recent seasons. All the best for the future Ally. Your goal in the second half at Banchory St Ternon in pre-season a few years ago will stick in my memory banks.
After everything that has happened, or rather not, in these last few weeks, the only thing that will appease me is a win on Saturday against Keith, nothing less. Jerry has stated that the team have not given the title up, so now it is up to the team ENDORSE this on Saturday AND for the remainder of the season. Top of our managers Christmas list this year should be (more than just a sprig of) lucky white heather !
