Well Folks, just like to say after a great deal of thought on my part, I've decided to carry on coming to Huntly games this season, despite the incident at the end of the previous season!
I hope this can now be put behind us all involved and we can now move forward and continue supporting the club we all undoubtedly love!
Having said that, I do seem to detect a kind of "festering undercurrent" possibly developing between certain players/officials towards Myself and AH, I would suggest that we all start with a clean slate (and a level head!)and try to forget past differences (threats towards AH were made in the Social Club last night after the Ross County friendly, whilst they may well have been purely in jest, I still think there would be no place for anybody to get "decked" by a player, simply for having different view points from anyone else), (however "off the wall" they are!)
Let's all be sensible and mature about this, at the end of the day we are all connected with the club in some way, be it player, supporter, official, etc.
I apologise if I have upset any applecarts recently, and I am assuming that I am one of the fans that Levi was on about some time ago on this site, saying that he'd give up a portion of his wages so that I stayed away from games.
Well, I have thought about this and I have decided I can't, but I will try to be a bit more calm at the games, I promise! In fact at the two recent friendlies (Ross County, and Hibs) I hardly uttered a word let alone a shout!
Anyway, this is my attempt at bridge building, hopefully it will be accepted and we can all move forward together for the benefit of the club. It isn't the same if there is a bad atmosphere I'm sure you'll agree.
Best of luck for the forthcoming season lads, I think we might just have a chance of some silverware this season.
Regards,
Alan G. (Woodside Tiger) (and shirt thrower extraordinaire!...only Joking!)
P.S. This has taken a considerable amount of bottle for me to come on here and to try to apologise etc, I hope it is therefore appreciated by those concerned and they might then be back on speaking terms with me, I do hope so anyway.
Full marks, Alan G for your apology and recognition of your failings in the past.
Lets hope you stick to your word and eliminate some of the outbursts which quite frankly can be embarrasing for your fellow fans.
Enjoy the coming season.
