Is that due to the normal excuse "injuries and suspensions" ??
The 19s are not that bad, surely we could have played them.

I don't know, the problem could've been with Buckie and not Huntly but we will be getting the game play next Monday with an 8pm kick off

The 19's are not that bad ? Believe you me they are. You are better playing Huntly Amatuers in exchange for the Reserves in my opinion if there are injuries etc. Ben Myers up front for Huntly................ I can see it now hahahahahaha

As a player who has played under 19's the last 3 seasons i would like to say to skoka, yes we may have poor results in our league but look at the cup reults against teams who do not have any aberdeen players we do quite good, the reason we do bad against teams in our league is because we are the only team that has local plaers, ok we do have players such as myself from keith nd players from banff but that is the point of youth DEVELOPMENT its meant to be local boys. if every team was full of local boys i.e keith, buckie, devronvale e.t.c then no doubt about it huntly would be one of the better teams, but as huntly would rather take boys from local towns instead of aberdeen that is not the case.

yeah but it all about developing players for the 1st team therefore if there poor in the U19's there going to be even worse in the 1st team. As a young player need to be exceptional to make the step up.

Who cares where the player comes from, as long as they are good enough thats the main thing.

Who really cares where the players come from ?? Youth development is about developing players no matter where they are from. You cant say HFC are using local boys when you said yourself and others are not from Huntly. Just because HFC use local players doesnt mean they have to be a poor side. Huntly has produced good teams in the past with a mixture of locals and players based further afield. Local development is a good road to go down and does take time but you will never be able to base a team solely on huntly based players. It just would not work
