Huntly opened their first home game of the season with a defeat, but in the first 10 minutes they showed their class by going ahead with a neat Jamie Cooper finish after some good exchanges of passing. However their lead was only to last a minute when a somewhat strange award of a free kick was given to the opposition after a miskick by the Huntly defence was ajudged by the referee to be a pass back! Dee boys club made no mistake from the free kick but the Huntly keeper was unlucky not to hold it.Huntly had a few chances again and must regret not taking them, as a corner on 25 minutes for the visitors caused the home team all sorts of problems and resulted in another goal. Dee boys club then moved up another gear and as a result of another corner went in to the break 3-1 up.15 minutes in to the second half resulted in another 2 goals for the visitors, again from corners and effectively the match was over. Good on the Huntly lads for holding on and not conceeding any more, infact they had their chances to pull a goal or two back near the end but the visitors were just too strong. Huntly can gain revenge this week as they have drawn the same team away in the cup, and hopefully if the lads can sort themselves out at the corner kicks, then maybe an upset might be on the cards, goodluck.
