Please note that there will be no edition of this this week as I have been unable to put one together. It will make the next one all the more important to pick up.
However! I do wish the club would have a proper discussion on matter of the programme, it is surely not impossible to turn "The Tiger" into the official programme worst case scenario!?
If anyone doesnt know what "The Tiger" is, for the whole of last season, and this I have been producing an A5 double sided sheet with the bare minimum that is required in a programme (team lines, recent form, players sold etc etc) and stamping "unofficial" on it to clear the club if I write something out of order making it more of a posh fanzine. I have only run 20 or 30 of these(thats 2 per A4 sheet double sided) depending on the opposition.
This could easily be extended up to a double sided A4 folded in half and could then include say a piece from Dave if he was up for it.
My attitude here is a top Highland League club should not be going without a programme of some kind. I fully understand cost issues etc, but all that is required for "The Tiger" is someone to put it together, a computer and a photocopier.
The only clubs I know of that dont do prgrammes are ourselves, clach, fort william and Rothes.
If it went to A4 you could possibly even charge 20p or something for it. It's not much really.
I look forward to reading what is said at the meeting. Thanks again Robin.
I have a few Printer contacts for you to get quotes from for doing a regular prog.
Once you get ads sold for a season or now make it half a season, you will soon manage to fill the space with combination of articles, photos, stats, supporters news, look at old ganes, team squads etc
