Game started with a lot of pressure from Huntly and Calum Macintosh causing trouble up front. At 9 minutes Lewis Hendry put in a cross from the right which hit the far post and went in. Banks o Dee came more into the game and forced a corner after 11 minutes. From the cross Dale Coull blocked a shot on the line. The Huntly midfield were in control of the game early sweeping up any loose balls but Banks o Dee gradually were getting more of the midfield play. They had a free kick at 25 minutes which was not well hit and the wall stopped. Scott Johnstone had a header from a corner saved. Game play was even between the teams by now. In the second half Banks o Dee came out strongly and two shots within the first 3 minutes were well saved by Daniel Ross. 12 minutes later a drive forward by Kyle Stewart and a pass to Gary Mackay but Gary, the goalie and a defender all got to it at the same time. 13 minutes later a Huntly corner a stramash in the goalmouth but no luck. After that Jamie Cooper, Greg Dorrat all had good shots taken very quickly but no goal. Lewis Hendry, Calum Macintosh, Gary Mackay were all pushing forward. Banks o Dee by now were kicking long balls over the top and chasing them. This needed good cooperation between Daniel Ross, Sam Clark, Richard Brown and Kyle Stewart to counter these attacks. Sam Clark put a good long ball from the Huntly half through the middle. It looked like their goalie might get to it but good chasing by Gary Mackay got to it first. Gary went past the keeper and scored the second. At 77 minutes the referee judged Kyle Stewart had handled the ball in the box and awarded a penalty to Banks o Dee which went under Daniel Ross to give them a goal. Huntly continued to attack after this but the game ended 2:1 to Huntly. Good result Banks o Dee were second top of the league.
