Hardly a "new" player, but signing nonetheless.
He was rank rotten in his first spell, but has come on greatly.
I suppose the main plus is he is left sided.

AH' s left hand side

January 17 2007, 11:58 AM

AH

Do you live your life in perpetual negativity. Do you harbour bad thoughts. Maybe you need someone to talk to in trying to get that left hand side of your brain working. Namely your feminine side. Life can be hard and you seem to have had negative experiences. There is a positive side to you I am sure. If you need help call the samaritans before its too late.

Wishing you a happy and fulfilled life

Ah think you are being a bit harsh think the reason he and Cats left first time round was due to financial restraints put on the then manager. has turned out a strong tackling player sure Grandad George is happy to see him back at Christie Park

AH ur Comments Made about Ross McWilliam were out of order and uncalled for.

We should be welcoming new players to the club. Espec Experienced Championship winning ones that will help the youngsters. Not downing them before they've even kicked a ball.

I'm sure the fellow supporters will agree with me on this one.

Grant,

I cant agree more with you on this. I think A.H's comments are a discrace, he calls himself a supporter!!! Give the lad a chance AH he had not even kicked a ball when you made the Comment and after yesterdays performance i thought he played well.

RE: my comments

January 21 2007, 2:47 PM

Right to clear this up (because I even spoke to Dave Cormie AND the player about this yesterday)

I am taking that previous comment back folks as what I meant hasnt been seen, and instead its looking like Im having a go at the player.

What I meant was that he has gone to Locos and Vale (playing at a very high standard) and become a better player, indeed top performer, at these clubs.

Agreed, he didnt feature too much when he was here last but he played well at these other two clubs, and is a great signing for us.

I never meant to sound like I didnt like the guy, nor that I didnt want him at Huntly - far from it!

Hope that clears this nonsense up and we can move on.

As for yesterday, yes he played very well and deserved a better rating than that one Grant gave him. Nines all round next time please Mr Turner.

"He was rank rotten in his first spell"

I think its quite clear what you meant ah, and, rather than trying to cover yourself why not admit your (first) impression of the player was wrong?

ah = not a scout lol

Re: RE: my comments

Just because i stand next to AH, and I am one of his associates (We have travelled to some away matches together, along with my 12 year old son Craig), I would like it known to all that I DO NOT agree with ALL he says! and SHOULD NOT be tarred with the same brush as him, as I get the impression some folk think that I agree with everything he says!

For a start I DISAGREE with his comments about our U-13 team, I think that Brian and his fellow coaches are doing a good job with the boys. My own son plays in the other League B section for Middlefield Wasps U-13's, who are coached, incidentally, by another former Huntly legend, Arthur Murphy. It is a bit dissappointing for me that the 2 teams won't meet this season as I would have liked to have seen that match and I would have had split loyalties!

The second point I DISAGREE with is the signing of Ross McWilliam, I think that this is a fantastic signing for us, and as he showed against the Broch on Saturday he will be a huge asset to us, as he had a super game, as had Neil Gauld (Who I also think will be a great signing for us.)

On the subject of Saturday's game, all the lads deserved at least 9 for their ratings! we have waited a long time to beat the Broch, but I think Saturday proved it was worth waiting for! Well done to Dave, Mike, "Cup Tie" and ALL the lads for the result, It certainly made my Weekend! Here's hoping for more of the same this weekend against the Vale.

Alan G.

Players

With this signing how does that put the squad numbers up to now, including any with injuries ??

Do we have enough now for good competition and cover of any new injuries/bans etc without having too many kicking their heels and not getting a game ?

We're looking at a squad of 20 now

For this season alone we've used 33 players

I think you would save yourself a lot of hassle if you a spent a wee bit of your obvious free time, the amount of posts on here and highland . net, if you just thought about what you were going to say before you hit the keyboard.
I am afraid "rank rotten last time " was a ridiculous statement to make and got the responses you deserved.

Hey guys, what happened to freedom of speech and expression of opinion?
We're not all AH fans but its only his opinion at the end of the day.
Some folk think i'm brilliant. Others think I cant tackle, head the ball or got no pace. Doesnt worry me and I'm sure it doesnt worry Ross McWilliam.
