Just in case anyone doesnt know - Les Lawrence our gate steward passed away suddenly this week.
The flag was at half-mast and a minute silence was observed.
As Dave Cormie said after the game, I'm sure Les would of been pleased with the result today.
Details of Les' funeral have yet to be announced.

bitty annoyed at the folk outside though, im sure they wudve realised what was going on when kathleen or diane wasnt letting them in!!!

cant add much more than that Grant, it was a good win for Les who was a much-liked Huntly supporter for longer than a lot of us.

Les will be a big miss.He was the ball boy manager and iam a ball boy so i will miss him

Just heard about this. Would like to pass on my best to his family. Always got a friendly welcome from Les. A proper charachter.

Leslie's funeral service, to which all friends are respectfully invited, will be held at Strathbogie Parish Church, at 1.15 p.m., on Tuesday, February 13, and thereafter to Huntly Cemetery.

Nice to see a good turn out from the club at Les' funeral today including management, committee, backroom staff, players both past and present and of course fans. Les' coffin was covered in a championship flag as the corteage left the church for the service at Huntly Cemetary.

i liked the football made o flowers, guessing thats from football club??

Hats off to whoever suggested/agreed to the championship flag being draped over Les' coffin, wonderful gesture.

This isnt the first time this has happened at the club, when our late groundsman Jock Mitchell died he too was given this honour and agree it is a lovely gesture
