| Huntly U13s played there last game of season today that resulted in a 5-0 victory v Culter Rovers away from home. The youngsters played well throughout and were 2/0 up at the break with goals from Ryan Thommo & Owen Mitchell but with better finishing could have doubled the score easily.Culter started the 2nd half well but were unable to breach the Huntly defence as the 13s struggled to score the all important 3rd goal.Goals finally arrivedfrom Ewan Gordon,Liam Fergie & Jack Mitchell to register a resounding win.Credit to all 13s players involved in there 1st season in what was a hard but worthwhile experience, they have trained hard & all gave 100% despite results. We now look forward to the team splitting in half to 13s & 14s.Many thanks to all parents,coaches,helpers,HFC/HYFC for all there support which we can use to move forward & upwards for next season, MITCHY |

Mitchy thanks for this, as you know one of my priorities is to encourage the development of the youth side. I was talking to Kevin Keegan today about his visit on Friday, he is particularly keen to meet as many of the young players for the youth teams on Friday night, plus their coaches, so hopefully there will be a good turnout. He is happy to sign autographs and be photographed with the teams, you should bring along a camera. As you know he is presenting the youth awards during the evening. | |
