Would like to thank almost all who attended the Fans Tourney V, was a great day out! Unfortunately being drawn into the group of death progress into the SuperQuaich was not possible. Finished 3rd in group after a draw and win over Forres and 1-0 losses in games with Elgin (Bishopmill) and Buckie FPs.

Into the toilet bowl competition drawn against Huntly Hassan! Huntly vs Huntly the game we all wanted! Huntly Newlands 1 Huntly Hassan 0, but where were Hassan, Neep, Alan Gordon and Shaun Rough from the starting line-up after all these are the fans!

Rothes in the semi finals, the best game we played in the whole tournament, created chance after chance final whistle goes 0-0, into pens beaten 2-0. End to a great day!

On sour note I would like to thank a.h for ruining what was a great day for me, after spiting out the dummy after there 1-0 defeat to the better Huntly team, he proceeded to have a go, calling himself the real Huntly team! But where does he get all this from, I refer you to a previous comment from Shanksie “we are all Huntly” ! During are semi final he defected from Huntly for the second time this summer and cheered on Rothes, I find this very petty and childish, so I expressed my feelings to him at the time, however I just wanted my fellow Huntly fans to know!

ahhh fraser, we had our team sorted but then it got changed as the players that were on shudnt of been, and then again, our team didnt have bubbly players, but then again, stuart, alan and urself did play well when i saw u's in the group stage

Im not going to answer your points AGAIN but at least I have never turned my back on the event (or does that hurt that I am the only Huntly supporter to represent us at all five events?), and at least I have the decency to turn up for the post match hospitality to thank the organisers and fellow participants.

Dont bother mentioning the fact one of your players single handedly, and deliberately got one of ours sent off in that game.

Oh dear, if only the masses really were to know what went on.

The Fans Tourney is exactly what it says on the tin. It's meant to be a laugh. How many games you go to is irrelevent, it doesn't necessarily make you any less a fan. Milne's Legends won it overall and came from Fochaber's, all of them were Juniors so who do they follow in the SHFL? and how the hell do they attend games? Didn't here anyone moan about that so why this petty rivalry?!

At the end of the day, I had a laugh and that's how I'm going to remember it, Fraser's team beat us fair and square on the day. Although the better team tag is a bit dubious given we had more of the game and missed more chances than they created but hey, thats football or have we all forgotten about that?

Well said Shanksie,cannot understand what all this nonsense is about.I also thought this was supposed to be a fun day out with some genunine rivalry with other Highland League teams fans not petty arguments among ourselves.
