Great result from the boys today, they are now through to the 3rd round of the Scottish YFA Cup, where we would hope for a good draw! Everyone in the squad contributed. Mitch might be on later to give a more in depth report.
Huntly u14s today brushed aside Longside in the Scottish Cup 2nd round at the meadows.Captain Jack Mitchell bulleted a fine header from a Thommo corner to put the 14s 1-0 up after 3mins & they went onto totally dominate the 1st half with Longside unable to venture out of ther half.2 cracking low drives from winger Owen Mitchell along with 2 rasping shots from Gary Mo & a Ewan" Mascot" goal resulted in Huntly going into the break 6-0 ahead.2nd half was a bit of a non event apart from Longside eventually scoring with a lob over Whyties head.3Huntly subs early in 2nd half continued the dominance and it was no shock they scored a further 3 from Scotty Lawson,Thommo pen & a fine header from Craig Gordon completed the rout 9-1.Good allround display from the 14s who now enter the 3rd all in round of the cup due 4th nov. The team now has 2 sundays off,but training continues both weds.ONWARD
