Huntly v Dundee

I have mixed emotions about the game this weekend. I'm a former player, I played from 1982-1985 under Frank Laws/John Fitzpatrick, and have many fond memories of my time at Christie Park, but i'm also a life long Dundee fan, born and bred.
I would like to wish you all the best on Saturday and continued success for the remainder of the season.
I now live in Cardiff and the Western Mail dosn't quite cover the Highland League but this web site is superb.

no word on an inspection yet but have been informed that if the game is off it will be rescheduled for Tuesday (15th) with a 7:45pm kick-off.
Both teams had requested a Saturday but this was over-ruled

Match Officials have been confirmed for Saturday. they are:
Referee: Craig Mackay.
Assistant Referee 1 Mat Northcroft.
Assistant Referee 2 Graham Fraser.

Pitch is 2/3 covered with plastic sheeting. Only wings exposed, but may be too little too late. As Jock McH says, its frosty and ground is hard.
Wouldnt bet on Tuesday either.
What happens after that? This one could go on for a while.

For those of you who fancy a wee "flutter" on the Bookmakers regarding the Huntly V Dundee match its
worth noting that the bookmakers are "hedging" their Bets on this game!

William Hills Odds are:

Huntly Win 13/2 with the Draw at 7/2

Coral's Odds are:

Huntly Win 7/1 with the Draw at 10/3

For those of you who think that Huntly can go all the way and lift the Cup then Willaim Hill have
set the Odds at 5000/1, yes you read that correctly 5000/1.

great team effort tonight the young lads did the club proud.
Was a superb moment for Wee Reidser coming to for that header and just disappointing we couldn't convert the chances shortly after.

Not only did the lads do Huntly and Highland League proud more overly they did themselves proud and everyone of them, lead by Big Mo, should be very pleased with their performance last night.
It was certainly hard at times to work out who were the full time players.

Here's for the same for the rest of the season.

Great game, probably the best i have seen huntly play all season.
Came out at the start of the second half and really took it to dundee and didn't let them think we wouldf be the 'walkover' they were expecting.
Brillian performance by stewart gray and the whole team!

If we play like that every game we should easily be top of the league!

Well done to Huntly last night, certainly put up a fine display and should be very proud.

Have to admit to being relieved to leave and be through to the next round.

Also a very welcoming town, including the stewards/police etc.

All the best for the future and will be keeping a wee eye out for your scores in the future.

Great effort all round.Well done lads.
The cakeheads who predicted 6-0 and 7-0 were very quiet at 1-1.
If we can take this effort into the remaining league games it could be a great season.

Well done lad's you gave it your all and at the same time had Dundee a wee bit worried when we got the deserved equaliser.
An outstanding team effort with all the players looking as though they were enjoying the occasion.
The team spirit was back up where it belongs and I hope that this continues for the rest of the season.
Also let's get all the supporters that turned out for last night's game, coming along to the nitty gritty games that we have coming up as they should have seen what a great team to go and watch every week.So come on out and support your local heroes and help them along to further successes.

WELL DONE LAD'S.

THE MOOSE.

I would just like to congratulate the players and management for their efforts last night.I was one who thought Huntly would be well beaten by a Dundee side challenging for the title, but was delighted to be proven wrong. Most credit obviously goes to the players but well done to management for tactics.Fans around me were moaning because we only had one up front but to go with two up would have been crazy.Dundee would have picked Huntly off and the game could have been over early if they went with two up.Im sure the tactics would have to make sure they were still in the game with 20 minutes and it worked a treat.Lets hope some of the "fans" who were there last night return on saturday for the Lossie match.

I would just like to say i felt your team played very well last night. As a Dundee fan most of us expected to hammer huntly, however that was not the case. Your team showed great spirit to keep potential stars such as mcdonald and davidson at bay. They also showed true bottle for battling back from 1-0 down and give dundee a kick up the backside.

Thank you for an enjoyable night in your town

And all the best for the rest of the season
