Some latest news from Dave

Hamish Munro has had his on loan contract extended.
Craig Cunningham has left due to work commitements and has joined Dyce Juniors, however youngster Ross Anderson replaces him, Ross has showed up well in under 21 games and should be a good addition to the squad.
Should tomorrow's game go ahead man of many clubs Jim Calder will be in goals to help the team out.

while we're making up random information about players, i heard a rumour we've signed Martin Johnston!!
Brems starting for peterhead, well that would be news to the peterhead fans i know and the fact that he can't commit 100% to huntly due to work commitments i couldn't see peterhead wanting him.

but whatever happened to us being informed first of any comings and goings with huntly players.
I remember Andy saying that we would be amongst the first to know and there is no word of it on the Peterhead fc website

You are correct i did say that if any players were coming or going Huntly FC Online would be first to now and you will be. Ross Bremner is a signed Huntly player, the reason Jim Calder was going to be in goals against Brora was because Brems did not get home until Saturday morning and with the time diffrence he would have had jetleg.

As i have told you all before DO NOT listen to rumours wait until the official statment comes from the club before jumping the gun.

"Jetleg" sounds quite painful.

Could somebody from the club please come on this site and give the fans the facts about McGoo and as to why he wasn't in the squad yesterday, etc.

This is just to try to stop these rumours about players leaving, etc getting out of hand, as I'm sick fed up of folk on here either starting rumours and speculating about departures for one reason or another and it needs nipped in the bud NOW!!

Please let us, the true fans, know before things get out of hand.

Barry Thompson

March 3 2008, 8:39 AM

Hi Folks,

We have signed Barry Thompson as a second keeper, Barry will play in tonights under 21's match against Cove at Allan Park. Barry is coming in as number 2 and also as a goal keeper coach. He will be here to help all the yopung keepers from Stuart Gray right down to the youth teams.

I wish Barry all the best with Huntly.

The rule for the under 21's is 5 out field players and the keeper can be over 21.

i take it this is the same barry thompson that noone rated very highly when he was last with huntly, good to see old faces make a return one way or another, how about some n ice fit older blokes too, maybe late twentys insted of teens! lol

I think you're being a bit unfair on Barry with that statement. OK he made some mistakes in games but name one keeper that doesn't make any mistakes throughout a season!

I can remember him doing some work with the keepers we had in the youth team when he was here before and has since went on to get his goalkeeping coaching badges.
If it helps the club in the long term with the likes of Stewart then we've got to back Dave's reasons for taking him back.

i hate to tell you but i never said anything bad about him in my post, i never said i didn't rate him i stated that plenty other people didn't rate him at all! the comments going round the park when he was here last was not flattering to him, but in my post i never said i was of the same opinion!!!!!!!!

Re: Barry Thompson

give us a break guys please, we are trying to build a team that will win the league next season and Barry will help in doing this. Stewart Gray is still a young guy and will learn allot from Barry's coaching and training.

Just keep an eye on here as i am sure there will be more to come in the next few weeks, remember the highland league rule is that we can only play any player that has signed on or before the 16th of March.

Is there not a ruling now that players can't sign for 3 clubs in one season?
