Well done to Angus Rennie who made it through the last round of trials for the northern region. He's in the final 23 for the SYFA but there is still school trials to come. It seem's a bit of a palava to pick the final squad but I'm sure if Angus keeps doing his best he has a good chance of making it. Lee Inglis unfortunatly didna make it but he did really well getting as far as he did because the competition was so strong. I'm extremely proud of both of them.
Well done Angus and Lee. Congratulations to Angus. Along with Gary from the 14s its good to see Huntly getting better known at Regional Level. Well done lads.(Anything to do with the good coaching ?)

Its been well documented why Ive missed the last two Huntly games, and I would like to congratulate Angus on getting into this effective League select team.
Lee Inglis was very unlucky not to get into the final team, but he did do very well in the first trial. Good Luck next year Lee, Im sure you can go one further!
As a side-note following on to what John Veitch has written, Id like to say that I feel the club can look at the Kevin Keegan programme as a stepping stone to getting players into this - as the team selectors for the SFA squad are looking at the same attributes highlighted in the Kevin Keegan programme, and this is maybe one reason why Huntly YFC have now two players doing well on the regional stage.
