HUNTLY 2 INVERURIE LOCCOS 5
This game kicked off in very good conditions.
We went on the attack from the outset and we got rewarded in 2mins, Jamieson brought down in the box. Jamieson wasted no time and fired his spot kick into the top corner.
Loccos scored four before the break. Every time they broke forward the ball seemed to fall kindly for them and we were punished.We had a number of chances but didn`t make the keeper work.

We changed the formation for the second half to 3-4-3. A minute into the half the ref was pointing to the spot, this time for Loccos, again the taker did the needful.
Heads stayed up and the new formation gave our bigger, stronger counterparts something to think about. Twice sub Scott Garrett got beyond the defence and missed one and one chances, Mann broke through and chose to shoot when Jamieson, Coyle and Garrett were all handy for the easy pass. Jamieson found Mann with a one touch pass the he took in his stride and tucked past the onrushing keeper.

The lads again showed a lot of quality in this game passing, movement, and a lot of bottle. This Loccos side has swept all before them and they`ve been together now for a couple of seasons. We on the otherhand have a very young side and we had SEVEN of our regulars out for various reasons. 16 yearold Fraser Tait came in and did a great job in the middle of the park on his debut. 15 yearold Jamie Cooper got 35 mins and looked very good on the ball.
David Legge had his best 90 mins in a Huntly kit and with Mathers,Coyle,Jamieson,Mann and Garrett playing really well, there were plenty positives.
I`d also like everyone to know the lads really appriciate the encouragement that comes from our excellent support. The players and management love doing our bit for this fantastic club.
