Wonder if Dave will be looking ahead to the Deveronvale game when he's deciding his starting eleven for this one.

Im sure McG will put out a strong side.
The time to rest players is when the game is won.
Rafa Benitez needs to learn this lesson before he gets the sack.
He deserves the sack for his daft rotation policy.
Play your best 11 every week ..its a no brainer ?

MEN v boys

March 2 2008, 7:20 PM

Well I was looking forward to a goal fest.
In the end I just felt sorry for F.W.
Lets be honest they should not be in the same league.
If we had been playing half the junior league we would have been given a better game.
It just continues to underline the failings in the league system.
Automatic promotion is a must.
A Highland league with the likes of Culter has to be more competetive.
The 3rd division would also be a better league with the best of the Highland sides.
The system stinks !
P.S I know it was a cup game !!

surely there's more comments after we scored 9 goals (I'm not counting A.H's comment).

Seems a bit bad that the forum is here for the fans to give their views yet very few people are willing to actually comment on a win.

The result was a fluke

we were a shambles losing a two goal lead and it didnt really get any better.

A MASSIVE improvement required going into the game on wednesday.

No foof, no singing, no fraser newlands. In fact the game was a complete non-event.

Here's hoping for a Dundee atmosphere on wednesday.

Goodbye

Huntly v Fort

March 4 2008, 6:47 AM

Yes it was an easy victory which we took well but I think you have to applaud the youngsters from Fort William who did turn up and want play for their home team.
I remember when Huntly struggled to get a team on the park on many a game, one I remember was when we were playing Brora away and folk having to go round knocking on doors (long before mobile phones) on the Friday night trying to get lads to play, we actually ended up picking up a university friend of a player in Keith on the way through to make up the numbers.
I have to say that any time I have travelled to Fort William we have always been given great highland hospitality something some of the bigger clubs could learn from.
I hope that the Fort can get backing from both the population and businesses in the town to help them stay in the league as I have said Huntly have been in the same situation.

Would that have been Ronnie "Slim" Mitchell's one and only appearance (in goal) for Huntly?
