I'm in baltimore, md. not too far BUT to business
portion control is first
ball up your fist. that is 1 portion. now whenever you see a diet or serving size that says a number of portions you will know.
but when you are eating a plate of food you should only have one portion of whatever is on your plate.
dinner: piece of chicken is roundness of fist, a serving of corn is about a cirlular amount on your plate, mashed potatoes is about 1 spoon full or 1 fist full, 1 cup of water or apple juice not from concentrate
just an example
then once you dont OVEREAT thats the key, jus right
working out is second
but dumbbells or resistance bands
i suggest for an actual workout routine you can buy a tape or dvd
if you get bored with it, but another one
AS well I suggest yoga
it helps you relax, introduces you to new muscles, increases flexibility even if you have NONE, increases muscle tone, etc.....good health booster
I can help further if you need me to, just getting you started I guess |
