My wife is a large lady, sometimes shes happy with that and sometimes she's not. The latter being when she feels judged by her size like walking into a shop, etc, you know all the places, I don't have to list them.
I find it strange that the people who know my wife, like her for who she is. But why doese it take that time to know someone for who they are.
A comment from a work collegue while on the subject of being overwieght was "I don't see angie as fat anymore" It's like no one see's Dawn French as being fat, because poeple have had the opportunity to find out what she is like a person.
Why is this, Maybe large people should wear t-shirts saying "Don't judge me straight away, give me a minute of your time, you might find me funny, interesting AND A VERY NICE PERSON"
