At least you guys have gas. So many of the stations here in Nashville are having problems getting gas. The price was 3.49 before IKE. Since then it spiked up to $4.19 that was if you could even find a station that had any fuel. Haven't been in gas lines since the 70's back in Newark. The south didn't have that problem back then, so this is very new to them. Everyone down here freaked out! A lot of the problem was caused by people panicking. Some of the DJ'S were telling people to hurry and fill up before the storm hit Texas or they wouldn't be able to buy any gas once it hit. And buy people did just that.At the Friday night football games, they were announcing to the audience which stations were open and actually had any gas. We live 35 miles West of Nashville and we had gas, so everyone came up here. The police were directing traffic at our stations until the gas ran out. Amazingly only 1 person was shot over all of this in Nashville. And that was horrible. |
