Hi everyone. I heard about the Web-site from
Patty Ryan Jemison about two weeks ago. Couldn't
wait to sign on and be counted with "The not so
old timers". I am living in Brick and work
at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank.
I have such fond memories of St. Rose and my
old block 11th Street. My son was in a wedding
at the cathedral a few months ago so I made the
tour of neighborhood... Looking forward
to the reunion****
Hi Dee....Welcome to the site. I had a conversation with my cousin, Susan Schick-Kemka about the time we saw you and your brother Vinnie at Michael Worry's ordination. We were waiting in two different lines so we thought we would catch up with you both at the reception at Seton Hall. Unfortunately we never saw you. Did either of you go? Anyway it's nice to see familiar people on the site from the old neighborhood. I hope you and Vinnie can make it to the reunion in October. When you talk to him please give him my regards and tell him to sign on. Take care, Bob.
Isn't this a wonderful site and a great way to keep
memories alive! It is a very good feeling to see
that so many of our friends and classmates are doing well. Hurrah for cyberspace!
I hope you are well.. I still have your phone number
and promise I will give you a call soon and perhaps
we can get together.
I'm sure I will speak to you in the very near future!
Dee Dee and Maureen two names I haven't put together for years. I saw Maureen not too long ago in Linden and before that in Lawrenceville. It was great. Dee It's been too long not to see someone who was so much a part of my early years. How is Vinny? Does anyone see Jimmy or Bobbie Rielly. I see Michael occasionally, but still not enough. Going through the list I recognized so many people that were important in my life. Take care.
Mark
What a wonderful surprise!!!! I also
can't think of any St. Rose or 11th Street
memory without you in it. You were always
so energetic. Where are you living????
Vin lives in Florida with his wife Mary
and three sons. He comes to Jersey often.
Bob Reilly was at the 1991 reunion and his
picture is located in a different area of this
site. Keep in touch.
Dee
Hi guys...it is so great to be seeing all these names pop up...Mark I was just thinking about you the other day....I pray all is well with you all....I am currently in Peru and will not be at the reunion..but am anticipating seeing a lot of pictures...
Dee Dee..I was back in Newark in March...nothing is the same...but I do remember the fun we had at St Rose
Hey Mark and folks. My sister just told me about this site last night. Can't believe how many people are out there. Please keep in touch. I get to New Jersey about once a month.
Hey, look who's here. Welcome to Bodholdt's, Vince. I remember the little booklet we put together for our graduation. One section listed popular songs that might apply to certain classmates. Thanks to a brief nap you once took, your selection was "Send Me the Pillow That You Dream On." (Mine was "I'll Never Find Another You," which I took as a compliment.) Funny, the things you remember. Anyway, don't be a stranger.
Hey Vince...I knew when we got the people from 11th St. things would really start to pick up. I often drive on 280 thru Newark and when I see Roseville Ave. School I think of you and how tragic that situation could have been. All for a lousy basketball. Thank God you were on the boxing team at Essex and in great shape. I'll never forget that night. Welcome to the site and I hope you can make it up to the reunion,Bob
Vinny, I visited Mickey's house in Orlando a few weeks ago. My sister Peachie or Mary lives in Cape Coral. I was so rushed for time that I did not even visit her. She is a grandmother! I am planning another trip to FL in the near future to see her and the kids and of course, my brother-in -law. She has definitely mellowed with age. I would love to see you and meet your family.
I've spent most of my years in Boulder, Nantucket Island, and Lawrenceville. Never made much money, but I have had and continue to have alot of fun. Except I'm working on a PhD in clinical psych now and sometimes that's not so much fun. You see, I was not smart enough to have a retirement plan, but I can sit behind a desk and listen to other people's problems until I'm 80. Vinny let me know what's going on in in your life. LONG LIVE THE 11TH STREET GANG!!
My family will actually be in New Jersey next week at a wedding. Anytime you are headed to Florida, let me know. We live in Jacksonville which is North Florida about 2 1/2 hours drive from disney.
