I remember Spinach and how about Tank?
I used to see Spinach alot at the Annex Bar on Rooseville Ave. in my younger years and Tank used to hang out alot at the Ampere Pool Room on 4th ave.

I don't know if you remember me from the Essex Catholic reunions--you knew my sister, Betty when we lived on 13th street... and you and John McCree and I were hoping for a SR reunion the last we spoke...

I saw the names you were asking about and "Spinach" jumped out... I remember some crazy stories about him... I'll see if Betty knows where he is...

Did you know Arty Kerr, "Gibby" or my brother-in-law, Danny Helber (SRL class of about 55-56)? I used to go to "Pete's" with Betty when she wanted to hang but had to baby sit... (the candy store on 12th and 7th ave near the "ramp")...

Anybody else you can think of? I'll pass them on to Betty...

Finally, another old fart! I know where a few of those people are. Brian Bowler lives in Maplewood, retired teacher and I think bartender in Irvington.His twin, Mary lives in Maine, we've kept in touch. I saw Dom Tufferello in Az. a few years ago and I heard( don't know if it's true) that Dikey Dodd died in prison.You went to Essex didn't you? Lots of our class went there.Do you remember Brien Fallon? He's gone. Maybe we should try and get to the reunion before we all check out.Let me know what you are up to. Would you believe 44 yrs? Do you know if Brian or Mary or Dom will be going on the 18th? What do you mean Brian fallon is gone? Dead? someone else said he is alive. I saw Dodds a number of years ago when his Mom died. I lost track after thet. I did go to Essex and still see some of the Essex guys at the Hall of Fame meetings. If some of the 58ers are going on the 18th I will go. Jerry K

I graduated in '58 also, and I know JaneAnn, Dom, and Brian, but, for the life of me, I am having a hard time remembering you. You must have been in the other eighth grade. I know Jane Ann and Dominick were also in the other class, but somehow we all got to know each other better at Good Counsel. I think my brother Jerry ('60) said he remembered you. Anyway,I plan to go on the 18th, and so does my brother Jerry. Perhaps we'll see you there.

I am sure we all not aged one bit and we will recognize each other immediately. I called Gen Hopkins last weekend spoke with her husband. Gen was out with Katie Durkin, Peggy Gallagher, Ann Fox, John Ryan and Joe Clark. Gen has not called back but that is a class reunion. Jerry I hope I will see you in October.

I tried to email Ellen but it did not go through. Is Billy Tansey alive and well and still maried to Peggy? Where is Jimmy Husvar? Is Dicky Dodds still with us? I was out there for their daughters wedding, Christina, last year and I remember Tom and Jay,(John Mcdonough), talking about you and Tom being great track buddies. I met Jay there and he was very nice and funny, and told me some great stories about you, so I feel I know you already. But, I do remember him saying you were a terrific track star.
So, if you could, please try to e-mail Tom again and persuade him to come to the reunion. Thanks!!!! I don't know if you knew my brother Richie, but he is coming in from Colorado for the reunion.
