Everyone will recognize this puppy. Along with the bird man, Billy, the shoe boy and others, there was the old whited haired chap that walked his bull terrier, cigar in mouth and a stick in his hand, all over Roseville. The dog christened everything. It was just a matter of which one had the worst bite

I remember the old chap walking his dog on many ocasions. There was also an old woman who had 3 dogs of a mixed breed, black with brown spots. they looked very cynical with their heads bowed down. Hey, I found Joe Potato living in Florida, but haven't called him yet. See you at Woody's on Wednesday?

I thought of that man the instant I opened the site and saw the dog... Do you remember that the dog had a mean-ass collar with spikes? (like the bulldog in Warner Brother's Cartoons). We had never heard of pit bulls --or other pedigrees for that matter. We just called it the "pig dog". Years later I also thought of that man and his dog when "Patton" hit the big screen.

Bobby...You are right about Patton's dog it was a bull terrier. Patton was not very fond of the dog however. He thought the dog was queer because it wouldn't fight. I'm pretty sure Churchill had a bull terrier too! Hope to see you Weds. nite, Bob.
