Memo from the North Pole

December 24 2003 at 8:01 AM
S. Claus
from IP address 171.75.83.8

I'm writing this note to inform you
That taxes have taken away
The things that I find most essential:
My workshop, my reindeer, my sleigh.

I now make my rounds on a donkey;
He's old and crippled and slow.
So you'll know if you don't see me Christmas,
I'll be out on my ass in the snow!

Santa Claus

I'm sorry about your donkey, but thank you for the lovely picture of the main altar. I always loved being inside St. Rose's, with it's beautiful stained-glass windows and comforting atmosphere.
May we all find warmth, comfort and most of all happiness this Christmas.
Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year's from my family to all of you!

Rico, I know about death and taxes. In sixth grade Sister Lucille Frances continuously told us the only two things in life we will have to do: PAY TAXES AND DIE" Not sure a twelve year old really needed to know that, but I guess I considered it important info, because I never forgot it and it comes to mind freguently. Hope your holiday has been a joyful one. As the new year quickly approaches, I want to wish you, the rest of SRL alumni and every other Bodholt browser a HAPPY AND VERY HEALTHY NEW YEAR! Prosperity wouldn't be bad either. Now that I think about it, as long as we have our health and happiness as a bonus, we are truly prosperous..............

WOW!!!!... I thought I was the only
one that remembered, thnx sooo much
Linda for sharing.

It's funny cause when I heard Brad Pitt
saying "death and taxes" in Meet Joe Black
it reminded me of Sister Lucille.
