Finally got a photo of our presentation to Principal Art Wilson of the SRLAA 2003 Award of Appreciation. The photos taken of the original presentation in the church December 17th didn't come out well, so we re-staged it in Mr. Wilson's office a few days later, with computer instructor Fran Scuilli working the camera. It reads "In recognition of his outstanding service to St. Rose of Lima School and the community." Again, Mr. Wilson expressed his gratitude to the Association for the honor and for the big difference we are making at St. Rose.
We also said a "thank you" to the teachers on this day with our contributions to their Christmas luncheon. The SRLAA presented them with a beautiful sheet cake with festive decorations and the message "Merry Christmas SRL Teachers -- You Are the Best." In addition we provided a jumbo tray of holiday cookies, also from DiPaolo's, and a couple Boxes o' Joe from Dunkin' Donuts. The teachers were surprised and very appreciative and gave the SRLAA a hearty round of applause.
All in all the day was a very positive note on which to end our first year.
