For anyone who may remember the Bonassi's that lived on 6th street between 6th Ave and Park Ave. You know there was Frank and Leona and their 3 daughters. Leona passed away this past Thursday in a car accident in Barnaget, NJ. The daughters are Maryann (I believe the class of 1967) and Kathy (moved before she graduated St Rose). Their father did masonry work around the church occasionally. Leona was involved in the Rosary Society and the card parties. I remember her as always smiling.

So sorry to hear of Mrs Bonassi's passing. Her husband Frank was active with the Knights Of Columbus, as well as the parish. There's a picture of Frank working in the school basement, in a posting on this website, maybe a year or so ago. And yes, their daughter Maryann graduated with my class in 1967. They were a lovely family.
