One of the advantages of having your own website is that when things are slow you can blatantly advertise yourself. I'm a pretty good residential painter and I have some openings coming up. If you have anything that needs paint, I would appreciate your business. (Hell, everybody has at least one room they can't stand to look at anymore.) I also do drywall and murals.

I'm in Newark but can travel anywhere between Bergen and Ocean counties. References available. (Of course, SRL alumni always get a good discount.) bonaire@thecanteen.com

Advertizing works! I've already gotten a job from this posting. (Remember, folks, if you appreciate this website, think of me when you need a painter, because that's where some of my money goes.)

I must say!

FWIW- I would like to give our own JC the highest recommendation
that I can for his painting business- My husband(who is very fussy) loved the job John did for us- Quick, neat, clean, great advice on colors, paint, repair work- even helped us do windows! He gave 150 % and treated our home like his own-all at a reasonable price.

JC is too modest I guess to discuss his mural work. He painted my nephews room in a "Yellow Submarine" theme- Totally Awesome!! - John - you are a regular Michaelanglo!

Um, yes, Bob.

Laurie, thanks for the endorsement. You have a great-looking home and it was a pleasure working for you and Phil. And I miss Junior the Cat!

Speaking of murals, our own Dan Lane helped me create one of them with the monster printer he has. Also, I was at his son's graduation shindig last week and I saw a huge poster he made with it (with a picture of his son Jonathan, his high school and a big logo of the college he is heading for) and I was so impressed I want to mention it.

I figured some of you guys with kids might be interested in that, or someone needing an oversize poster or banner for any special event, so I asked him about it. He has done work for the alumni association before and, unlike myself, he is too modest to blow his own horn, but I wangled these details out of him:

24" x 36" in color = $50.00 (mounted on Foamcore + $10.00). Smaller sizes -- and sizes up to 42" x 96" -- on request.

Scanning of your photo(s) for poster printing, N/C up to a maximum of 5 photos.

Text and photo layout N/C.

Shipping (if necessary) is extra.

So there you have it. Dan's a good resource with that super-size machine of his, so I'm passing along the info and recommending him. His email is kpd112@aol.com . Now I bet I embarrassed you, Dan.

John, You've posted a terrific message for Danny. His work is impeccable. Danny gives special attention to detail and each piece he creates reflects his commitment to getting a precise and perfect result. And, another offshoot of his photo enlargements and banners is that Danny creates enlargements of correspondence, documents, photos, etc. for law firms and the like for their use at Trial. Email: kpd112@aol.com. You'll be glad you contacted him!
