after looking for the old neighborhood, and people, for more than a year, i found home and hit real paydirt....thank the bvm for he internet,,,how else could we find each other?
there is no way i can explain how great it is to see all the time and effort that has gone into this site...it is a labor of love...love of what was, and we will never see again.
ok ...the old 2nd pricient was the pal...joe wiengardner was from 4th street,( billy was his brother ) he used to box there along with cook at hollys resturant on 1st street in 65 to 67. he went into the navy came home then he died in a fire in 73,,,
next to newark tech , on 1st street there was two girls we dated frances caruso and maryann ( i'm not sure).
if any one remembers " crazy willy gantz" from 1st street ...He's dead...got mixed up with the phila mob...

in 64 when hubert humphery was running for president he was at the roseville armory and did his political thing,,,we we nosey and peeked into the window and found 3 botles of 4 roses waiting for us..we clipped them then went up to the tip top bakery (EO AMPHERE) and got sick...
i was amazed to see Linda Testa's picture in the class of 67......oh my goodness! we went out from dec 67 till the middle of 70....what a memory that is....i never knew she was SRL ...that explains alot ...i was a st john's (orange) boy..then barringer..... I was sorry to see she never made it to the reunions....now thats pic i would have liked to have seen

I arrested Willie Gantz for Burglary in the early 1970's, down around Garside St. "Crazy Willie" was a name that stayed with him until the end, when they found him all shot up in a parked car behind the Foodtown on N.6th St by Heller Pkwy. How crazy is that?
