Hi,I am the "Nancy" waitress that you speak of and was married to Joey. I have since remarried and just moved out of New Jersey to settle in Maine. I have 2 children with 6 grandchildren. Counting my step grand kids I have 10. Does anyone remember Anita, Pop Skribner's daughter (Yes Skribner is spelt with a "K" and not a "C".
I left Roseville in 1969. What was Bodholt's Diner like in the 1970's? When did the Diner actually close? What was the surrounding area like in the 1970's until it actually closed?
Just because the subject came up, I'll mention that the other day at the NJ Historical Society I found a 1926 image of the diner by William F. Cone, an industrial photographer who produced an astounding catalog of Jersey photos in his 75-year career. I found just the negative, really (they would have produced a proper print for only $30!), and it depicted "Bodholt's Quick Lunch."
