Took some shots yesterday of the work on the Broad Street Station extension of the NCS. As you may know, NJ Transit has run a line through the old Public Service Building spur and continued it onto McCarter Highway. It goes up Atlantic Street and runs past the Performing Arts Center and Bears-Eagles Stadium before ending at the Erie-Lackawanna station on Broad Street. (To avoid confusion, this stop is designated Broad Street Station, and the station on the main line is designated Military Park Station.) The inbound track then runs along Broad Street, past Washington Park, before turning left on Lombardy Street to rejoin the outbound track at Atlantic Street. I include a handy mep below.

John, Great pics...I work down at St. Mikes, so I see this alot and suffer from traffic distress!
Anyone have any feelings about Newark's political future?

Amazing thing , with all that tunneling, St. John's is still standing!

Wow! The downtown area of our old city is looking pretty good. I wish they could start working on some of the neighborhoods too.
