I can't tell you the location, John, but being a bit (well, a lot) older than you at the time JFK was elected, I readily recall that he was supposed to be a big fan of Ian Fleming. I could go a lot of places with that, but I won't :-)
This is a really hard one. It doesn't appear to be a main street. I believe that there is a clue in the Kennedy-Bond connection. Was there a Bond Baking Co (Bond bread) anywhere near us? I think that's it's in East Orange.
Now that you've given us the hint that it isn't in Newark, could it be in Bloomfield along the east side of the Parkway at the intersection of Montgomery? The green awnings in the distance make me think of the intersection of Montgomery and Berkley (sp?). I think there's a public school there also. I seem to remember that JFK Drive in Bloomfield runs along part of the old Morris Canal bed, but I don't get the James Bond reference
What's with the "Anonymous" and " Newark Girl" titles? This is a free and easy web site. It helps others if you use your real name and contributes to the original purpose of old Roseville area people being able to re-connect!
