The Vailsburg group always has a picnic in the summer. I thought it would be nice to extend an invitation to the Roseville group if anyone wants to attend. It would be nice to bring two great sections of Newark together to remember what Newark was truly like.. Plus there are some folks on the Vailsburg site who had their early days in Roseville, before moving up to Vailsburg. This is our 5th annual Picnic South... (we have one in the fall in South Mountain)

Everyone brings food and beverages and we throw it all on the tables to share. We have everything from Eggplant Parm, meatballs, sausage and Peppers to standard fair of hamburgers and hotdogs.
We have games for the kids.. EGG TOSS... Water Balloon toss's...
Yeh, I know it's a beach party to you. But no one here responded, so I guess they're not interestd. Unless the date it too far away for them to make a decision. Just thought it would be nice to extend the invite to other Newarkers.
By the way everyone, Bill Weber is a retired Newark Fire Chief from Vailsburg who lives down the shore. He preferrs to call the Picnic a Beach Party, so we try to put sand in his shorts every year.
