His friends and classmates will be sad to learn that Billy Goldy, SRL '64, passed away this morning after a long battle with ALS. The Crowleys and the Goldys were always close friends and neighbors, and we extend our sympathy to Mickey and her clan. I'll pass along information on services as soon as they come to hand.

I am so sorry to hear of Billy's passing. He was such a nice kid and what a wonderful family.
Please know that the entire Goldy family will be in my prayers.

I'm very sorry to hear this bad news. We go back a
long way. Third street just lost one of the best.

The Goldy House

A familiar place to many of us was the Goldy family home on N. Third Street, just north of Sussex Avenue, across the street from the Sussex Avenue School. It's on the right in this 1961 photo from the NPL's Berg Collection:

Billy Goldy

It has been almost 40 years since I last saw Billy. He was a legend in the class of '64. I can only picture him as he looked then and that's the way I will remember him as a classmate and friend. May he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
