i do not know if it had a orange st address or a west market st address it was right where they meet ??? across the street was the mirror bar a big hangout in the 50s
John, it may say "Orange Towers", but it's the Spic and Span Diner next to the Spic and Span Cleaner at the intersection of N13th, West Market, and Orange Streets! I believe the address was Orange St. It looks like the picture was taken from in front of 597 Orange St., our home for 25 yrs. In the 50's our landlord's son, Casper or Gasper Boncina, owned the diner. The Mirror Bar was at 599 Orange St. John, now that you found the Sic and Span, have you also found a picture of the Roseville Bakery?
Yup, that's it. I saw the aftermath of a stabbing in front of that diner back in the late 1950s. Guy was laying out there with a tablecloth stained red over him, with cops standing around kibitzing.
