This spot is on Fourth Avenue, but it really could be anywhere in Roseville. It's reminiscent of the days when traffic clattered over these red brick roadways.
I remember that red brick paving on 4th Street between 1st Street and 6th Ave. Thomas A Silk Mem.Park is there,(or Was), but those bricks were covered up a long time ago, looks like they're coming up again.
I am turning 60 in two weeks. October 3rd. My wife has tried to cheer me up by telling me "sixty is the new 50". How do I stack up with the other regular posters on this forum? Among the eldest? In the midddle? I know I am not one of the youngest? I'd guess the majority of the posters are in their early of mid 50"s?
Hey Frank, cheer up, remember there's only one alternative to getting older -- that long, long, nap.
I turned 65 this past April my hubby (Tom) turned 69 and it's still fun.
happy birthday!

John, the designation of Newark as "Brick City" pertains to the large number of housing projects. They keep dynamiting them, but they let the residents leave first, so I don't really see the point. They're just going to infest some other neighborhood and spread the blight.
