AL'S TAVERN

The picture of Al's Tavern on First and Orange St. later became Johnny Walker's tavern.
My father Michael (Shimmy Shee) DiLella was at far right, and Johnny Walker was the bartender.
I don't know the rest right now, but I'm sure my brother, Butch will figure them out!

she was great friends with hollys we lived in e orange , on n 18th by 4th ave...the holly's lived across the street...we moved to n 6th between 6th and 7th ave's around '65...left in '70...the hollys of course owned holly's resturant...the pic was taken around 65 i think.i wouldn't swear to it , but i think it was taken the day they had a 1920's flapper party or halloween....

one more thing about johnny walkers....remember when it caught fire?....we were hanging out in front of holly's....as soon as the firemen were done getting their booze...we walked in and helped ourselves to a couple of cases of beer...and the change in the juke box....and the stash from the bookies in the pool table......
