I know this is a few days late but I hope everyone's Mother's Day was happy.
I would also like to take a moment to remember OUR Mothers. They are the ones who probably had a large say in what school we attended, what stores we went to, what street we lived on and in some ways even who our friends were. They were most likely the reason we all ended up in the Roseville section and/or St. Rose. They are the ones who volunteered for church activities, walked us to school when we were very young, met for coffee at Bodholt's and made sure we made it to the 9:00 AM mass on Sunday. They took us shopping for First Communion outfits, fixed our hair when we tried a home perm, made our favorite foods when we were sick, and took pictures of everything with the Kodak camera (a Brownie ?). They talked to the nuns and teachers when we got into trouble in school and threatend to tell Dad when he got home from work (but never did). They not only watched out for their own kids when they were outside playing but each other's kids too.
To all of our Mom's - you deserve alot of Love and Thanks for all you did. |
