The new Prudential Arena is scheduled to open in October with a series of concerts by Bon Jovi. Beginning in Novemeber the arena will be the full-time home of the New Jersey Devils and Seton Hall Basketball.

Do any of our dinner patrons think that they may venture down for an event?
I am interested in knowing because I am reading about some trepidation by fellow Seton hall fans on the NJ.com Seton Hall forum.

Does anyone know if there will be adeqwuate parking and is the arena accesible by train?

Who is the doing security, the Devils or the Newark Police? Remember the huie police presnece when the PAC first opened. it seems to have virtually vanished.

So, waht are your thoughts dinner patrons?

Yeah, Newark is a natural hockey town.

When the Beatles play there, I'll go.

EMPLOYMENT OPP. With so many former guys and maybe gals retired from law enforcement, an application for a private detective license can be filled, i'm sure we can all chip in to get the very high bond that will be needed, put a bid in with the NJ Sports Authority if there the ones in charge of contracts and last but not least with all the brew-haha we get on Bodholts The "EMCEE" himself (John Crowley) can have a his own Internet Cafe at the arena and possibley have his own version of the "Fab 5"

Hockey Town

August 30 2007, 5:42 PM

Now John! It was your Dad who helped make Newark a hockey town. I remember him calling my Mom and explaining to her
how he was going to pick me up to play hockey at 3 am when
he would rent out South Mountain.
I look forward to going to the Devil games by train from
Trenton. Think of the new promotions they can have in Newark
Devils flax jacket night" or the vendor's yelling "crack
pipes, get your devils crack pipes".
I don't like the idea that our season tickets went to 150.00
a ticket from 95.00.

Near Penn Station

My understanding is that the Arena is less than a five minute walk from Penn Station.

I read that a new park -- Triangle Park -- will connect the arena and train station. Perfect!
