JC,
I thought I'd take a chance and post a (non-political) update to the Hot Dog Question. I was at the Pru center last night and they now moved Jimmy Buff's downstairs for Seton Hall games. They now place their temporary sign over the top of the one on the food court. It looks like a Jimmy Buffs guy is the supervisor.
The hot dog is small and costs seven bucks but was actually good. The guy joked that he can't put mustard in the roll--you have to do it yourself... "I don't make the rules". And it was the first time anybody in an Italian Hotdog store ever asked, "You want a beer with that"?
With all the fun we've had comparing Italian Hot dog notes and the annual contest and all, I thought it a shame for some jerks' inappropriate postings to ruin it.
And I can't picture the fourth annual competition coming up this Spring comparing Corned Beef and Cabbage or Stew (maybe it was an Irish plot by McCree, Davis, Egan and the likes)! LOL

THE BEST YOU'LL EVER HAVE.
I didn't even know what they were until a couple of years ago when we found a (Real) Irish Pub at 28th and Broadway near the Javits center. Now I know how to tell a real Irish pub from all those "fake" chain restaurants-- if they don't have Bangers and Mashed--they Ain't really Irish.
Sure, I'd be up for a B&M contest! Any others out there interested? We could see who has the best Jamisons too!
I agree with Bobby on a second chance for the hot dog subject.
As for bangers, they really are tasty, Galtee Gold brand being a favorite of mine -- but I can't get used to eating them with mashed potatos -- maybe because I am only half Irish. :-)
I thought Bangers & Mashed was a Brittish delicasy. The last three times I've been to London it was always either on the menu or included in a buffett. I guess I'm not as worldly a traveller as I thought. Educate me, Fellas!
