We have some left for the May 9th, 7 pm game against the Lancaster Barnstormers. Just sned me an e-mail to frankmccree@hotmail.com with your mailing address and the number of tickets requested and I will send them to you immediately. Tickets are $8.00, a $2.00 discount for being with a group. Both teams have recently signed several ex-major leaguers and there is a fire works disp-lay after the game. Why don't you join us?.

I don't want to bore you to tears,

March 31 2008, 7:37 AM

I will post again next Monday to let you know how ticket orders have gone. So far, 13 tickets have went out and I have 12 in hand. I expect to reorder and have a crowd of upwards of 50. No need to worry about parking, as there is a parking garage attached to the stadium. The beauty of this event is that it takes place in our old hometown.
Maybe next year a Devils' game.

Frank, I received the tickets over the weekend. Thank You! I've made some phone calls and it seems that some can't commit that far in advance. However, I'll continue to make calls and will get more people this Friday at Cryan's. Maybe we can make this a John McCree Retirement preliminary celebration! What do you think, Egan, Kimball and all you other SRL former ball players? I know you are all out there! Hey, maybe Baumgart might show up! Let's go people! Don't get me mad! Come on ladies! You're invited too! Barbara and Doris will be there. It's a chance for you girls to see what men do!!! Bye for now, Bob D.

Great.

March 31 2008, 8:18 AM

I can hold what tickets I have right up to game time. But if we need to reorder another 25, I have to do it by May 1. As the weather warms up, I think people's thoughts will turn to baseball.I just wanted to get things started early. Nothing like a spring night in Newark.

The Bears

April 7 2008, 10:17 AM

BTW, the Bears are the defending league champions. Every player on their team has professional organized baseball experience. While not household names, four Bears' players been up to the "show" and have major league experience.

Now six left.

April 26 2008, 9:47 AM

I can get more, after we sell out. Still hoping to see Chris Carlin, John Hempel, and Art Warter. Anyone know where they are? Most people have moved to south Jersey, but I live 2.5 miles from SRL. Used to pass it twice a day on way to and from work.

Frank, I just got in touch with Chris Carlin. He couldn't give me a definite answer for the Bears game, but said he would try. He also knows has Artie Warner's number, so he was going to get in touch with him. Looks like we may have a few more people coming!!

Additional tickets.

April 29 2008, 7:05 AM

If we sell all of the original 25 tickets, I can still pick up additional tickets close to where we are sitting in section 101. Since they are not a block of 25, they will be at the regular price of $10.00. I hope that is not that big of a deal.

Thank you again, Bob

April 29 2008, 10:24 AM

I shot out 7 tickets in section 101 to you today, in case any of your freiends is interested. If not, that is ok. I can still pick up more tickets right in section 101 for others. i think when people see how safe it is down there and how welcome you are made, we will have many more people next time
