2nd Annual Christmas Party

September 9 2008 at 8:42 AM

from IP address 24.187.156.45

This year's Christmas Party will be held in the Private Room at Cryan's Beef and Ale House in South Orange, NJ on Saturday evening December 13 from 7 PM until closing. There will be an open bar from 7 until 11 (longer if necessary). The dinner menu will include salad and a choice of Prime Rib, Chicken, Fish and a Special. There will also be a DJ all evening, provided by Vincent Falcetano SRL '68. The price , which includes all taxes and tips, will be $45.00 per person in advance or $50.00 at the door. Seating will be limited. This is a fantastic price and I'm sure tickets will go fast so don't wait until December. Last year's party was great. I'm sure this one will be better. Send your checks to me:

Bob Davis Jr.
1701 Ocean Ave. #21
Belmar, NJ 07719.

I will hold all checks until Monday December 1st.

Thanks John! You are the First! Pat and I are in also. The reason I posted this so soon was to give all of our out of state people a chance to make plans if they want to attend. If you plan on attending, please make a posting. Therefore, we can keep an accurate count and everyone else can see who's coming. I will post the names of people who send checks but can't post. And remember that seating is limited! Checks received will be given a number in the order they come in. If your not sure you can attend, send the check anyway I won't deposit them until December 1st, you can cancel any time before that. Let's go '68! Don't make me come after you! Bob

Bobby, as per our conversation this morning, Donny and I will be attending. Thought we would look for somewhere to stay up there and not drive all the way home. Maybe others might consider doing the same and we can get a better rate. Marriott in Short Hills sounds like a great place to start checking, thanks for the suggestion. Can't wait to see everyone! Bob,
I'll be attending the Christmas party along with my wife Lisa. Check will be follow shortly.

note: The Impossible Dream was not the song of Sister Regina Rose's class of '68-we had a lame song Love a Seranade to you. The Impossible Dream was sung by both classes at graduation.

I'm told by Mike D. that Sr. Rita Damien's class song was, See You In September. Mike Z. says Sr. Regina Rose's song was Love, A Serenade To You. I don't remember hearing either one of those. It could have been the Altar Wine! But, consensus is that The Impossible Dream was the 1968 Graduation Class Song. I Think! Bob
Looks like '68 has shot to the front, John!!!

In the next day or so, I will list all those who have signed up for the Party. I will hold all checks until Dec. 1st. If your name is missing just post a note on this thread. The first 80 people will be seated in the Private room. So far we have about 50 people and we still have 6 weeks to go. If we get more than 80 they can open the doors and seat another 40 people. When I post the list, if there are people you know who are missing, give them a call. This whole thing is via this website and word of mouth. Every little bit helps and I guarantee everyone will have a great time.

We have 16 days left until the Christmas Party. There is some confusion out there as to what day the Party is being held. It is Saturday Night, December 13th. All the details are at the top of this announcement.
I will be depositing all checks this coming Monday, December 1st. If that is a problem, let me know immediately. If you have a reservation or have sent a check in, you pay $45.00 each. If you have a reservation and are paying cash at the door, you pay $45.00 CASH. Anyone who shows up without a reservation pays $50.00 at the door, CASH. I will not accept checks at the door. So far we are at 50 people. We will have a great time! I won't beg anyone! It will be your loss! BD
