From the St. Rose Archive comes this shot of the 1950 Roseville Punkin Parade. Here "Mr. Punkin Comes to Roseville" in what I believe is a Model A Ford. He's passing the old Bodholt's Diner, of course. More photos at: http://www.thecanteen.com/punkin01.html

Notice the trolley tracks in the street. My father used drive the trolleys on the street. He told me that when it snowed they had to open the front window to see. I'm not sure whether or not they had wipers or if they did not work very well.
I saw him this morning standing outside of Dunkin Donuts smoking a cigarette. I opened up my car window and told him about First Friday at Cryans. He asked was it the one in South Orange? Maybe he will come. But he does not drive. A lot of old memories. SRL class of '61. Lived on N. Fourth Street between Sussex Avenue and Orange Street. Family moved to Orange after NJ DOT bought houses on the block.
The Sabia Family lived at 205 Third Street. 2nd House in from the Tennis Court Park.
